Born in Wilmette, Illinois, Maggie Shea is an American professional sailor who won a silver medal at the 2019 Pan American Games. She and her partner Stephanie Roble lost the gold to the Brazilian team of Kahena Kunze and Martine Grael. The 35-year-old has won two bronze medals at the 2014 and 2020 World Championships.
By winning a bronze medal in the 49er & 49er FX World Championships, Maggie Shea represented the USA at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. She finished 11th at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in the 49er FX Women’s category. Shea was awarded NEISA Sportswoman of the Year and the Connecticut College Brooks Brown award. She currently serves as the Director at the Chicago Match Race Center.
