Jajaira Gonzalez is a Professional American Boxer. She is a part of the team representing the USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Belonging to a family with a background in boxing, she is the younger sister of Joet Gonzalez, a fellow American boxer. Jajaira Gonzalez started making headlines in boxing at a very young age, grabbing a gold in the 2012 National Junior Olympics.

Thereafter, she won the 2013 USA Boxing National Championships, 2013 Pirkka Tournament, 2013 Junior World Team Open, 2014 Junior and Youth Open, 2014 Youth Continental Championships, 2016 USA Boxing National Championships, 2017 Eastern Qualifier, 2017 & 2021 USA Boxing National Championships, 2022 AMBC Elite Championships, and won a bronze medal at the 2023 Santiago Pan American Games in the 60 KG Boxing category.

Jajaira Gonzalez attended the Chartered Oak Unified School in Covina, California. It is a unified school district serving areas including Gonzalez’s native place Glendora. In a previous interview, she joked about how graduating from high school without getting detention was her biggest accomplishment when she turned eighteen.

Even before her High School, Gonzalez had started making waves in Boxing. She started training for it by the age of eight. Her father, who was her coach as well, taught Gonzalez self-defense, and she eventually continued in the footsteps of her sister Joet Gonzalez, a professional boxer herself. While the exact details of her records in high school are not known, it is known that she won the USA Boxing National Championships, Junior World Team Open, Junior and Youth Open, Youth Continental Championships, Pirkka Tournament, and National Junior Olympics before graduating from the high school in 2015.

It is not known which college Jajaira Gonzalez has attended or whether she has attended a college or not.

She graduated from High School in 2015 and was in great form, winning ten medals in about five years. However, she stepped down from boxing in 2018 and decided to take a year off to focus on mental health, which eventually extended to a three-year break due to the global pandemic. However, when she did come back, Gonzalez went on to have another great swing at boxing and won a bronze medal at the 2023 Pan-American Games earning a spot at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
