5 ways Raw Reunion could impact current WWE storylines

The stage is set for WWE's legends to come back for one night only. The Raw Reunion is almost upon us and is merely hours away.

The big episode of Monday Night Raw was being promoted for the past two weeks, and WWE went out of its way to try and bring in all the big names from the past. Although the company succeeded in confirming dozens of WWE legends for the show, there were a few who didn't accept the invite.

Nevertheless, the show still seems jam-packed with past Superstars, and this line-up has given rise to several possibilities. Becky Lynch recently responded to Hulk Hogan's idea of taking over WWE, and this could be just a short teaser of what we might get to see on the upcoming episode.

Here are 5 ways this special edition might end up impacting current WWE storylines.

#5. Becky Lynch gets more ruthless

Lynch and Natalya

The upcoming Raw Women's title match at SummerSlam is in Toronto, Canada. Becky Lynch is incredibly popular as an anti-hero and there might be a fear among backstage officials that she will get cheered during the match, while Natalya might get booed by her countrymen.

Lynch recently stated that she would beat "the bejesus out of Natalya" in Canada in front of her people, and proceeded to mockingly ask the Canadian fans whether they are okay with it. It seems that Lynch is trying to get heel heat from the Canadian fans so that Natalya doesn't get booed out of the building in Toronto.

It wouldn't be surprising if Lynch goes that extra mile tonight and takes shot at Bret Hart/Tyson Kidd for not being with Natalya on such a special occasion, in an attempt to garner heat from the Canadian fans for the upcoming match.

#4. Daniel Bryan makes his announcement after berating his teacher

Daniel Bryan had been teasing a huge announcement for last week's SmackDown Live episode but ended up disappointing the fans. What if Bryan comes out tonight and makes the announcement?

This scenario could see Bryan belittling his teacher, Shawn Michaels, and stating that he never needed him and would have made it on his own regardless of Michaels being there with him or not.

Of course, we wouldn't want him to get buried by DX, so there's no need to make Bryan interrupt the faction. He could come out a while after the rumored DX reunion, saying that Michaels is clinging onto his past and still doing reunions for a cheap pop.

After making it clear that he doesn't want to end up becoming what Michaels has become, Bryan could finally make his big announcement, which could be one of many scenarios: ditching SmackDown and coming to Raw, forming his own faction, or a string of other possibilities.

#3. Eric Bischoff confronts Paul Heyman

Bischoff and Heyman

Eric Bischoff was made SmackDown Live's Executive Director a while back. There's still no news on whether he will be a part of the on-screen storylines in the near future. If WWE does want to use his services in an on-screen capacity, how about utilizing tonight's Episode for the same?

Eric Bischoff is set to be on Raw tonight. A segment could see him come out and state that he has been silently watching Paul Heyman do his thing on Raw and getting more involved with the red brand, referencing to Heyman's announcement regarding this past week's Battle Royal. Bischoff then states that now that he has free reign on the blue brand, he will make sure he destroys Paul Heyman and WWE's flagship show.

Bischoff would then promise several big changes for SmackDown Live's immediate future. Heyman could come out for a big face-off with Bischoff, declaring war on Bischoff's SmackDown Live. This could lead to a huge "slow-burn" brand wars kind of angle which could culminate at this year's Survivor Series.

#2. Santino Marella flees with the 24/7 title belt

Is Truth in for a ton of trouble?
Is Truth in for a ton of trouble?

WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley has recently said that he will take back the WWE 24/7 title from R-Truth this Monday night. Truth responded to the tweet and didn't seem too worried at the prospect of Foley coming after him.

An angle could be done on tonight's episode, where Foley tries his best to capture the 24/7 title. Truth somehow flees the spot and gets some distance between him and Foley.

Suddenly, a hand covered in a sock pops out of a corner at a backstage area and hits Truth in the face. The hand is, of course, revealed to be Santino's, who proceeds to pin Truth and win the title. Santino flees the scene, leaving Truth distraught at knowing that he might never get the title back.

Truth could capture the belt back the following week, by invading Santino's home or surprising him at a public place like Walmart, or even at Santino's wrestling school - Battle Arts Academy.

#1. Austin gets involved in Owens' matters

Ever since Kevin Owens started using Austin's Stunner, fans haven't stopped throwing up comparisons between the two. Earlier, it was reported that WWE is trying to turn Owens into a modern-day Stone Cold. This is an amazing opportunity for the company to give a major rub to Owens, by involving Austin into the mix.

A segment could be planned starring Owens and Shane McMahon. Owens would go on to challenge "The Best In The World" for a match at The Biggest Party of the Summer.

As a grinning Shane would accept the challenge, Owens would then reveal that a certain returning legend has agreed to be the special referee for the match, as he doesn't want to get double-teamed by Shane and his lackey, McIntyre. The glass breaks and out comes Stone Cold to a loud ovation. The two babyfaces could then hit Stunners on both Shane and McIntyre to end the segment on a high note.
