The ROH Women's World Title is a professional wrestling World Title for women. It was developed and promoted by the USA-based professional wrestling promotion Ring of Honor (ROH). The current holder of the title is Athena and this is her first-ever reign. She made history by holding the title for the most number of days in her first reign as champion.

History of The ROH Women's World Championship

On January 1, 2020, the ROH Women of Honor World Title was deactivated when the last titleholder Kelly Klein was deprived of the title because ROH allowed her to go and didn't renew her official agreement. Another competition to crown the debut ROH Women's World Titleholder was set to begin on April 24 of that year at the event of Quest for Gold. However, ROH deferred all future occasions because of the Coronavirus pandemic.

On the night of ROH's Anniversary Commemoration Show, on March 26, 2021, one of ROH's Governing body members Maria Kanellis-Bennett declared a competition to crown another ROH Women's World titleholder. The Title itself and the format with other details of the tournament were disclosed at the event of Best in the World on July 11, 2021. There were 15 women in that tournament and it was a singles elimination competition.
