Justin Verlander is an American professional baseball pitcher for the San Francisco Giants in Major League Baseball (MLB). Justin Verlander joined the San Francisco Giants on January 11, 2025. The Detroit Tigers drafted Verlander with the second overall pick in the 2004 MLB Draft. He made his MLB debut on July 4, 2005, for the Detroit Tigers. He played for the Detroit Tigers from 2005 to 2017, then joined the Houston Astros, where he played from 2017 to 2020.
