Major League Baseball has become the highest level of professional baseball in the United States as well as Canada. The league has thirty teams spanned across two countries and these teams are then divided into two leagues and several divisions. Every season witnesses these teams battling it out to become the World Series Champion of the season.

The MLB playoffs refer to the postseason part of the league that starts after the regular season. Teams make their way through Wild Card games, before playing in the National League Division Series (NLDS) and the American League Division Series (ALDS). Moving on, four teams reach the American League Championship Series (ALCS) and National League Championship Series (NLCS). Only two teams then advance to the World Series games, where the last team standing becomes the MLB champion for the season. The 2024 MLB season will also see the same format being used by the teams to win the playoffs before they go on to play in the World Series.
