Hailing from Pie de Cuesta, Venezuela, Ranger Jose Suarez signed on with the Philadelphia Phillies in 2012. He started his professional baseball career with the VSL Phillies of the Venezuelan Summer League (VSL). He eventually made his MLB debut with the team on July 26, 2018. Suarez has accompanied accomplishments like the Fielding Bible Award in 2022 and the NL Pitcher of the Month award in April 2024 throughout his career. He has claimed 543 strikeouts in 592.2 innings in 158 games so far in his career.

Before starting his MLB career, Ranger Suarez plied his trade with the minor league under the Philadelphia Phillies. He was a Mid-Season All-Star with the Williamsport Crosscutters in 2016. He has also won five Pitcher of the Week Awards for teams like Lakewood BlueClaws, Clearwater Threshers, Williamsport Crosscutters and Reading Fightin Phils throughout his minor league career. Since Ranger Suarez's MLB debut, he played his first MLB All-Star game in 2024 and earned a NL All-Star award for his efforts.
