Walker Jenkins is an American baseball outfielder, who has committed and signed with the North Carolina Tar Heels baseball team to play college baseball.

Born on February 19, 2005, Jenkins attended South Brunswick High School in Southport, North Carolina, where he first played baseball. He batted .527 with ten home runs, forty RBIs, 13 doubles, and 18 stolen bases as a junior in 2022. His impressive run of form that season also earned him the chip for the top high schooler in the 2023 Draft this spring. He is also North Carolina's best prep position prospect since Josh Hamilton went No. 1 overall in 1999.

Built at a strong 6-foot-3 frame and a quick left-handed stroke, Jenkins is a proven big hitter who can quickly turn on quality fastballs and launch them out of the park to right field. His sweet swing and ability to make consistent hard contacts make him a daunting prospect in the making.

Already a USA Baseball Under-18 National Team member, Jenkins is widely expected to be a first-round pick come the 2023 MLB draft. The top prospect went fourth overall to the Texas Rangers in the latest mock draft on MLB.com.
