Wehiwa Aloy College

Wehiwa Kapahulehua Aloy has transferred himself to play for the Arkansas Razorbacks baseball team for the 2024 season. The former shortstop of the Sacramento State Hornets already made an impact in his freshman season in 2023 by being an aggressive hitter with 14 home runs and 46 RBIs in 56 games.

Alongside his batting prowess, Aloy has also proved himself as a shortstop as well as a defender on the field. His skills as a hitter and shortstop earned him various achievements in his freshman season. Moving forward, the 2024 college baseball season with the Arkansas Razorbacks will help him to further polish his hitting and shortstop skills for the MLB draft in 2025.

Wehiwa Aloy’s College Career

Wehiwa Aloy initially attended California State University, Sacramento in Sacramento, California, United States. There, as a freshman, he played baseball for the Sacramento State Hornets under NCAA Division I college baseball program.

Wehiwa Aloy proved to be a good talent for Sacramento State University in his freshman season. He had 88 hits which became the 12th most hits among NCAA Division I hitters. Wehiwa Aloy gained several notable honors in his freshman season. He was declared as WAC Freshman of the Year in 2023. In the same year, he was also included in the All-WAC Second Team, ABCA All-West Region Second Team, Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American Team, D1Baseball Freshman All-American First Team, NCBWA All-American First Team, Baseball America Freshman All-America Second Team and Perfect Game Freshman All-American First Team.

After his 2023 freshman season, Wehiwa Aloy entered the transfer portal and transferred himself to Arkansas State University. As of March 2024, Aloy has started his sophomore season with the Arkansas Razorbacks of the SEC Conference in the NCAA Division I college baseball program.

Wehiwa Aloy was enrolled at H.P. Baldwin High School in Wailuku, Hawaii. There, he played varsity baseball for his high school team, the Baldwin Bears. His most notable high school performance came in his senior year when he led his high school team to the league title. There, he had a batting average of .350 and was chosen as All-State selection at shortstop.

Aloy was also declared as the Maui Interscholastic League Player of the Year in 2022. Moreover, he graduated from his high school in 2022.
