How to unlock limited-time Exerting Control camo for free in MW3 and Warzone

The Exerting Control camo is now available to unlock for free in MW3 and Warzone as part of the ongoing Critical Countdown event. While this event began with Season 4 on May 29, 2024, the camo only became unlockable when the final section became accessible recently. Initially, it started with two sections or strands of DNA available, and the remaining two were to be unlocked subsequently. While the third strand was made available in the third week of the event, the fourth one became accessible on Wednesday, June 19, 2024.

The Exerting Control camo has a subtle glowing effect. Although it lacks animation, its gentle glow makes it worth collecting.

That said, this article will provide step-by-step instructions on how you can unlock the limited-time Exerting Control camo for free in MW3 and Warzone.

How to get the Exerting Control camo for free in MW3 and Warzone

To unlock the Exerting Control camo, you need to collect 6250 Gua (pink) DNA samples. These can be obtained by eliminating enemies in MW3 across any mode, collecting them in MW3 Zombies mode during the Outlast contract's PND activation phase, or acquiring them in Warzone by opening loot caches.

There are four types of DNA samples — Ade (blue), Cyto (orange), Thy (light yellow), and Gua (pink) — and each one offers distinct rewards. For Gua DNA, collecting 3125 samples earns you a Double XP Token, and collecting 6250 samples unlocks the Exerting Control Camo.
