Black Ops 7 is bringing back four-player co-op campaign

Black Ops 7 is confirmed to have a four-player co-op campaign, a feature that was last seen in Black Ops 3. Co-op campaigns are not new for the franchise, and have been featured in previous releases such as World at War and Black Ops 3. Now, almost ten years after the release of Black Ops 3, players will be able to dive into a COD campaign along with three other friends.

The campaign mode is an integral part of all Call of Duty games (except BO4), as all the Multiplayer components, maps, weapons, and more, are dependent on the feature set and storyline that the campaign brings. However, after 2015, the series has only featured solo campaign modes.

Modern Warfare 2 (2022) featured a story-based co-op mode called Raids, and it was quite a hit among fans. However, it wasn't a part of the main campaign. But all of that is about to change with Black Ops 7 as the entire campaign is focused on a four-player co-op experience.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 puts players in the shoes of David Mason, son of Alex Mason. The upcoming shooter is a direct sequel to Black Ops 2, and it'll be set in a futuristic world, where players will have futuristic pieces of tech at their disposal for combat. Furthermore, expect features such as Omnimovement and wall-running to return. But that's not all.

The upcoming title might feature Raul Menendez, the leader of Cordis Die, as the main antagonist.
