Joni Taylor is an American college basketball coach who has entered her third season as the head coach of the Texas A&M Aggies women’s basketball team. She began her coaching journey in 2002 as an assistant coach at Troy University and later joined Louisiana Tech where she served as the associate head coach. Taylor was a celebrated collegiate athlete and a four-year letter-winner at Alabama.

Taylor received her first head coaching gig at Georgia after spending four years as an assistant and associate head coach. She succeeded Hall of Fame coach Andy Landers and won the 2016 Maggie Dixon National Rookie Coach of the Year honor in her first year with the program. In seven years with the program, Taylor took the Lady Bulldogs to four NCAA tournaments and was honored with SEC Coach of the Year in the 2020-21 season. After leading the program to a 140-75 overall record, Taylor announced her decision to join Texas A&M to replace longtime coach Gary Blair who spent nearly two decades at College Station. In her second season with the Aggies, Taylor was named assistant coach to the 2024 USA Basketball Women's National Team.
