Keshon Gilbert is a guard for the Iowa State Cyclones and plays as a senior in the 2024-2025 season. Gilbert hails from St. Louis, Missouri, and attended Vashon High School. He started all 37 games for Iowa State during the 2023-2024 season, tying the school record for most games played and started in a season. He was the team's top scorer with 13.7 points per game while averaging 4.4 rebounds and 4.2 assists. Gilbert’s shot accuracy was 43.8% from the field, 34.6% from the three-pointer range, and 72.8% from the free-throw line. His 155 assists ranked him sixth in the Big 12 Conference and 70th in the nation. Gilbert led the conference in free throw attempts with 202 and ranked 47th in the nation. Defensively, he made 74 steals, which placed third in the Big 12 and became the fourth all-time player in Iowa State’s history. Gilbert recorded a triple-double against New Hampshire and scored over 20 points in eight games. He was awarded the MVP in the Big 12 Championship game and earned selections in the All-Big 12 Second Team and the Big 12 All-Newcomer Team.

Keshon Gilbert graduated from Vashon High School in 2021. Gilbert played under head coach Antonio Irons and led the team to the state championship as a senior. He scored an average of 13.2 points per game with a shooting accuracy of 55.5% from the field. Before playing for Vashon, he played for Durango High School in Las Vegas. As a freshman, he helped Durango to the state tournament for the first time in 17 years, averaging 14 points and five assists per game. During his sophomore season, he averaged 15.3 points per game on 54% shooting accuracy, with 4.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game. Gilbert was rated as the No. 29th point guard in the country by 247Sports and was a three-star recruit by ESPN and Rivals. He also competed in AAU basketball for the Las Vegas Knicks.
