Where did Tate Ratledge go to college?

Tate Ratledge is a college football player and played the 2024 season as a senior. He has been one of Georgia's top offensive line contributors since 2020. After getting some playing time against Auburn as a redshirt freshman in 2019, he took over the starting position in 2021 but injured his knee in the season opener and missed the entire year. He returned in 2022, starting 14 out of 15 games. In 2023, Ratledge helped to anchor a dominant Georgia offense, playing in 13 games, and was also named to the AP All-America Second Team. Even after a mid-season injury in 2024, he was still honored with the AFCA All-America First Team.

Tate Ratledge earned numerous national recognitions and was one of the best offensive linemen in college football. In 2024, he was a member of the AFCA All-America First Team and the AP All-America Third Team, as well as being a First Team All-SEC selection by the AP and coaches. In 2023, he was an AP Second Team All-American and a First Team All-SEC selection. Ratledge made it to the Lombardi Award, Outland Trophy, and Senior Bowl watch lists. He has also been named a preseason All-American by several major publications.

Tate Ratledge committed to pursuing his college football career at the University of Georgia, choosing this institution over the University of Tennessee. He enrolled at the University of Georgia in 2020 to study Sport Management.

Tate Ratledge had a notable 2023 season, he was ranked as the first offensive lineman in the SEC and seventh in the country with 0.93 sacks allowed. His total offense was 496.5, the offensive passing efficiency of 168.21, and scoring offense of 40.1.

Tate Ratledge started playing football at Darlington School in his hometown of Rome, Georgia. Ratledge played under head coach Tommy Atha, who helped him earn a selection in the East in the 2020 All-American Bowl. He was rated as a four-star prospect by 247Sports Composite and was ranked as the No. 37 prospect in the nation, the No. 3 offensive tackle in the nation, and the No. 5 prospect in Georgia.
