Tate Ratledge is an offensive guard who played five seasons for the University of Georgia's football team, the Georgia Bulldogs. Ratledge completed his secondary education at Darlington School in Rome, Georgia, where he participated in various sports, including football, basketball, and track and field. Ratledge enrolled at the University of Georgia in 2020 to continue his athletic career in college football. Notably, he is a two-time CFP National Champion with the Bulldogs, earning titles in both 2021 and 2022.

Tate Ratledge made just one appearance in the 2020 and 2021 seasons. In 2022, he saw action in 14 games at right guard and missed only one game due to injury. The following season as a junior, Ratledge started in 13 out of 14 games and ranked first in the SEC and seventh in the country in 0.93 sacks allowed. Last season, he was on the watchlist of several awards, such as the Lombardi Award, Senior Bowl, and Outland Trophy. Ratledge was a first-team All-American in 2024 and announced his decision to enter the 2025 NFL Draft following the regular season.
