The Gujarat batsman who went unsold at the last season's auction with a base price of INR 20 lakhs has been one of the star performers in the domestic circuit since making his First-class debut a decade ago as an 18-year-old.

Priyank finished the 2016-17 Ranji Trophy season as the highest run-getter with a whopping 1310 runs in 10 matches at an average of 87.33 with his highest score being 314*.

He followed his phenomenal run with the bat in the last Ranji season scoring 542 runs in seven matches at an average of 60.22 with his highest score being 152. Priyank, who was Gujarat's highest run-getter at the 2018-19 Vijay Hazare Trophy with 367 runs at an average of 52.42 (two half-centuries and a century) has been sensational so far this Ranji season.

He has scored 667 runs in 5 matches at an average of 83.37, and is currently the second highest run-getter of this season with three centuries and four half-centuries to his name.

Apart from 5242 First-class and 2234 List A runs, Priyank has 747 runs to his name in 27 T20s.

A useful right-arm medium bowler, Panchal deserves an IPL contract given his credentials with the bat over the last few domestic seasons.
