Both the teams have many players from the recently concluded World Cup while they have also brought in some Test specialists. It is also a change of captains with their ODI captains missing out from the Test teams.
The English squad has two debutantes that were major contributors in their successful World Cup campaign, Jason Roy and Jofra Archer. The Australian camp will be happy to see all the three suspended cricketers making their comebacks after the Sandpaper saga.
While the English side will be waiting to extend their Ashes dominance at home, the Aussies will be ready for the redemption of their World Cup semi-final loss to England. Even if there is a change of format, there will be no change of intensity from World Cup to The Ashes.
