IPL 2017, DD vs SRH Match Prediction: Who will win today's match between Delhi Daredevils and Sunrisers Hyderabad, Match 40

One of the two teams to be languishing at the bottom of the points table and not having the chances of qualifying for the playoffs, the Delhi Daredevils will lock horns with the Sunrisers Hyderabad with the hope of adding a win to their current tally of two.

As was the case last year as well, the Daredevils have not managed to figure out their combination, shuffling players in and out of the team and up and down the lineup.

The Sunrisers, on the other hand, have had a mixed IPL till now, jumping up and down with a heady mix of wins and defeats. They are currently placed third, riding on the way of a thumping victory over the Kolkata Knight Riders that helped them maintain their spotless record at home this season.

David Warner has been firing all cylinders at the top of the order, and currently possesses the Orange Cap after his record breaking 126 against KKR. The bowling, on the other hand, is being led admirably by Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who also owns the Purple Cap at the moment.

If Delhi Daredevils bat firstPredicted score: 150+The DD batting has looked really frail, yanked out of embarrassment by sporadic individual performances. Sanju Samson, Rishabh Pant and Chris Morris have looked good in patches, but the line-up, as a whole, has crumbled. Karun Nair has been hopelessly out of form, and will have the additional responsibility of captaincy on his shoulders for at least the next game. The onus will be on the likes of Shreyas Iyer and

Zaheer Khan has suffered a hamstring injury that might have put paid on his hopes of playing a part in this IPL. He got injured while playing against KKR, and missed the subsequent game. In his absence, Mohammad Shami might return to bolster the already impressive line-up of Kagiso Rabada, Pat Cummins and Chris Morris.

If Sunrisers Hyderabad bat firstPredicted score: 170+David Warner has been on fire at the top of the order, so much so that the rest of the batting hasn’t had enough deliveries to play with. Kane Williamson has been in fine touch, but Yuvraj Singh hasn’t contributed much, ever since his 60 against RCB in the first match, and is due for a big score.

The bowling has revolved around Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who has been in tremendous nick, be it the initial or final overs. The other Indian pacers, the uncapped duo of Mohammad Siraj and Siddharth Kaul have chipped in with their contributions, while Rashid Khan, who has turned a tad expensive towards the latter half, continues to manage the spin department.

Predicted winners: Sunrisers Hyderabad
