One month has whizzed past us and the Indian Premier League is racing along.

While there have been plenty of close contests and players have put forth many inspired performances, there have been few players who have just not turned up.

Here in this article, we compile a list of 4 players who have flopped for their respective teams. One just hopes they come to the fore in the final month when the tournament nears its business end.

#4 Brendon McCullum

The former New Zealand captain was a prized pick for the Royal Challengers Bangalore and came into the tournament with a lot of expectations on his shoulders.

However, he has not quite delivered for RCB and has been in and out of the side. In six matches, he has scored only 127 runs at an average of 21 and with a strike rate of 144.

He had to be benched as RCB have been splashing around trying to find the perfect combination.

#4 Glenn Maxwell

The big show has been a dud so far for the Delhi Daredevils. He was acquired by the franchise for Rs 9 crores in the auctions, but has not quite been at his best for them.

In nine matches, Maxwell has managed to score only 133 runs at an average of 14.77 and with a strike rate of 152.87.

Delhi have been struggling this season, and perhaps Maxwell's lack of contributions with the bat has been one of the main reasons.

#3 Jaydev Unadkat

The most expensive Indian to be signed up at the auctions, Jaydev Unadkat has been nowhere close to his wicket-taking form of the previous season.

Perhaps it is the pressure of the hefty price tag, but Unadkat has not been able to bowl the wicket-taking balls he did last time around and the batsmen have taken a liking to his bowling.

Also, he has not been able to plug the run flow as in nine matches, he has only managed to pick up seven wickets, but has leaked runs at an economy rate of 9.86.

#1 Ben Stokes

<p>

Another one of the big signings for the Rajasthan Royals, Ben Stokes was roped in for a hefty sum of Rs 12.5 crores, but he has been a pale shadow of the match-winner he was for the Rising Pune Supergiant.

In nine matches, the Englishman has only scored 160 runs at an average of 17 and with a strike rate of 123.

With the ball, he has not been impressive either as he has picked up only two wickets at an average of 109 and with an economy rate of 9.47.

He has to step up if Rajasthan are to qualify for the playoffs.
