Sunrisers Hyderabad are neither going to let their opponents score nor do it themselves, so I don’t plan on bringing any of the batsmen in play today. Not only that, with Shikhar Dhawan looking out of form, Kane Williamson pushed down to No.3 and Alex Hales batting on what is likely to be a deck that assists spinners, it only worsens the case.

Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer are still the best bet, but on a bigger ground and a more difficult batting wicket than what they get at home, the maximum damage that they can cause is a loss of 50 runs. That is something I can take, especially when I am not going to captain them. Also, Daredevils play their next match only after a span of five games.

As a result of all these, I only have one decision to make today: Bhuvneshwar Kumar or Rashid Khan – whom to get in? Rashid blocks an overseas spot, but bowls on a bowling-friendly wicket today. Bhuvneshwar, on the other hand, can still compensate for the deck factor by getting a few cheap wickets at the death, besides helping in keeping the overseas spot open. I have, therefore, decided to go in with Bhuvneshwar.

As far as uncapped players are concerned, Prithvi Shaw won’t be having it as easy as he has had in the tournament so far against this bowling attack, which makes Siddarth Kaul the better pick.
