The 32-year-old Andrew Tye is famous for the use of the knuckleball and the ability to bowl yorkers. He is very effective in limited overs cricket, to say the least.

Tye was the leading wicket-taker in T20Is in 2018 with 31 wickets. Overall he has 37 T20I wickets from 26 matches. In the ongoing BBL, he has taken 17 wickets from 14 matches for Perth Scorchers.

In IPL, Tye has been a part of Gujarat Lions (2017) and Kings XI Punjab (2018-present). In the 2017 edition, he took a hat-trick on his IPL debut, and he holds the record of the best IPL bowling figures on debut (5/17).

In the 2018 edition of the IPL, Tye went on to win the Purple Cap with 24 wickets. He has picked a total of 36 IPL wickets from 20 matches.

He will be looking forward to continuing his good form in this edition of the IPL too.
