Oshane Thomas was probably the best bowler for the West Indies in the recently concluded T20I series against India. He picked up the wickets of both Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma and conceded just 21 runs on a pretty slow Kolkata pitch and was a force to be reckoned with. His special trait is the bounce he manages to generate with his release and bowls very quick even on half baked pitches.

With express pace and the ability to pick up wickets, he could be a great option for teams to consider. He could solve the problems of many IPL franchises who didn't have a lead overseas fast bowler and is somewhat similar to Lungisani Ngidi who plays for the Chennai Super Kings and was a revelation last season.

While he has not picked up many wickets in India, this young pacer shows tremendous promise and might very well reward the team which picks him. He followed it up with 95 in the second game where Shai Hope scored a century to tie the game. He recently said that his dream was to play in the IPL and his could be fulfilled as his achievements have forced the cricketing world to turn their attention towards him and will surely be a strong contender for a selection in an IPL franchise.

Just 21 years of age, he is already a key part of this Windies side and can solve many middle order problems which sides faced last season.

Shimron will certainly attract huge bids from teams and has all the potential to become the next superstar. He is yet another player who could become hot property at the IPL auction.
