The Caribbean players have got an irreplaceable place in the Indian Premier League. Almost every team of the IPL has a Caribbean player leading the franchise.

For the Kolkata Knight Riders, Andre Russell has played a key part in all the victories of the Knights. The West Indian all-rounder has single-handedly carried the weight of the Kolkata franchise in this year's competition. Without him, the Knights might not even have a sniff at the playoff places.

Most of the victories have stemmed from his abilities to clear the boundaries with ease. Andre Russell has already slammed 52 sixes in this tournament. He stands at the second place on the number of sixes record chart in a single season.

The first slot of the chart is held by the Universal Boss, Chris Gayle with 59 sixes in the 2012 edition. KKR will play their last game against Mumbai and if they qualify for the playoffs they will get a few more games. Hence, this record is not out of reach for the big West Indian.
