Dhawan and Kane Williamson formed a good understanding

The 42nd match of the 2018 Indian Premier League was an absolute cracker. Delhi Daredevils had posted a handsome total of 187 thanks to a sublime century from youngster Rishabh Pant. Pant made 128 runs in 63 balls and hit 15 fours and 7 sixes in the innings.

Despite playing such a fabulous inning, Pant ended up on the losing side.

Sunrisers' Alex Hales departed early when it was their turn to bat. Dhawan and Williamson both played brilliant knocks to help their side to a comfortable win in the end. The duo put together 176 runs and it remains the highest partnership till date for SRH and also their most successful chase.

Mishra, Trent Boult, Vijay Shankar, Harshal Patel -- all the Delhi bowlers took a beating from Dhawan. The Delhi-born player smashed an unbeaten 92 off 50 balls and hit 9 fours and 4 sixes.

Skipper Williamson also hit 83 off 53 and the target was chased down with 7 balls to spare. The Sunrisers became the first team to enter the playoffs after the excellent win while Delhi Daredevils were knocked out of the tournament.
