Shubman Gill: 5.5/10

Gill scored 28 runs, but these came off 22 balls and KKR needed a better start at the top of the order. Perhaps not the biggest hitter, the youngster struggled to up the tempo, especially given that Narine was dismissed cheaply.

Sunil Narine: 1/10

This was one of Narine's worst performances in a KKR shirt, as he conceded 26 runs in his 2 overs and scored only 3 runs off 5 balls. The West Indian looks all at sea against quality pace, and is a major liability in the field. Perhaps for the first time ever, his place in the KKR team is under serious question.

Dinesh Karthik: 1/10

Karthik was arguably poorer than Narine in this game. Shuffling his bowlers poorly in the middle overs and at the death, the KKR captain did nothing to arrest the DC run-flow. The batting order was also completely flawed, with Karthik promoting himself ahead of the in-form Eoin Morgan and Rahul Tripathi - an opener by trade - walking in at No. 8. The KKR team management has some serious thinking to do ahead of their next games.

Nitish Rana: 8/10

Rana was one of the few bright spots in KKR's display today, and scored his first fifty of IPL 2020 to keep his team's hopes alive. Hitting 4 fours and an equal number of sixes, the southpaw finally managed to capitalise on the form that he has shown in IPL 2020 so far. He was caught in the deep for 58, and missed out on a great opportunity to grab a real big score.

Eoin Morgan: 8/10

Morgan launched an assault on the DC bowlers after coming in at No. 6, scoring an 18-ball 44 to take KKR close to an improbable win. He was dismissed by Nortje in the penultimate over and left Tripathi too much to do in the final over, but that was not before he ripped Rabada apart. The Englishman really should be batting higher up the order.

Andre Russell: 6/10

Russell was promoted to No. 4 for this game, and like most of the other times he has been moved up the order, he didn't make a real impact. The West Indian needlessly played a high-risk shot against Rabada despite having already scored a couple of boundaries in the over, not for the first time in his career. However, he was the pick of the KKR bowlers as he registered figures of 2/29 in his 4 overs.

Rahul Tripathi: 8/10

Coming in as low as No. 8, Tripathi breathed life into KKR's chase with a 16-ball 36. The former Rising Pune Supergiant opener hit 3 fours and 3 sixes, but had too much to do in the final over and lost his stumps. Much like Morgan, he really does need to bat up the order, ideally in his preferred opening slot.

Varun Chakravarthy: 5/10

Chakravarthy started well as he dismissed Shikhar Dhawan and beat the bat a couple of times, but was entrusted with an over at the death by his captain and was taken to the cleaners by Iyer. The mystery spinner finished with figures of 1/49 in his 4 overs, and KKR's spin department is struggling at the moment.

Pat Cummins: 2/10

After a couple of encouraging performances, the demons of his IPL 2020 performance against the Mumbai Indians came back to haunt Cummins, who conceded 49 runs in his 4 overs without picking up a wicket. The Aussie does need more variations in his arsenal, as well as the confidence to execute them in crunch situations.

Shivam Mavi: 2/10

Mavi had a disastrous outing with not much on offer from the pitch, as he conceded 40 runs off his 3 overs. Although Sharjah was unkind to the youngster, he was on the back of a Man of the Match showing and should have done better.

Kamlesh Nagarkoti: 4/10

Another player who excelled in the previous game but flopped in this one, Nagarkoti leaked 35 runs in his 3 overs. He picked up the wicket of Shaw, but bowled a few too many loose deliveries throughout his spell.
