Rashid Khan was the most economical bowler in IPL 2020, as he picked up 20 wickets in 16 games at just 5.37 per over. Teams often chose to play out his four overs, but he still managed to provide regular breakthroughs during SRH's admirable run to Qualifier 2. The Afghanistan captain is one of two spinners in the IPL 2020 team of the tournament.

Jofra Archer carried the RR team on his back throughout IPL 2020, picking up 20 wickets in 14 games at an economy rate of 6.55. The Englishman cranked up the pace with the new ball, and his incisive bowling in the powerplay troubled the best of batsmen. In a team where all other pacers struggled, Archer was invaluable, and even chipped in with a few lusty blows with the bat.

Kagiso Rabada, who won the Purple Cap after scalping 30 wickets in 17 games at an economy rate of 8.34, was DC's star performer with the ball on their journey to the final. The South African speedster was a touch expensive at times, but was head and shoulders above most other fast bowlers in the competition. He was one of two bowlers to take two 4-fors in IPL 2020, and picked up wickets in almost every game.

Yuzvendra Chahal, RCB's leading wicket-taker in the IPL, had yet another solid season. While many spinners struggled without much assistance from the UAE pitches, the leggie picked up 21 wickets in 15 games at an economy rate of 7.08 over the course of his team's run to the Eliminator.

Jasprit Bumrah was undoubtedly MI's best bowler in IPL 2020, and finished second on the Purple Cap list with 27 wickets in 15 games at an economy rate of 6.73. The 26-year-old was used in one-over spells by his captain, and produced the goods in almost every game after a slightly indifferent start to the tournament. He went wicketless in the final, but was a serious contender for Player of the Season.
