It was a thrilling encounter between Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab at Wankhede last night. MI kept their hopes of qualifying for the play-offs alive with a three-run win over KXIP, thanks to a splendid spell of fast bowling from Bumrah who conceded only 15 runs in his 4 overs, while picking up 3 wickets.

MI have to win the last game against DD to go through unless RCB rake up huge wins in their remaining matches. The efforts of Rahul (94) and Tye (4-16) went in vain once again as KXIP couldn’t cross the line yesterday. They need other results to go their way to qualify for the play-offs now. They need a win against CSK in the last match, RCB to lose to SRH but win against RR, and MI to lose to DD, to qualify for the play-offs.
