Kannur Lokesh Rahul is a professional Indian cricketer born on 18th April, 1992, in Bengaluru, Karnataka. He is primarily a wicketkeeper-batter who has represented his Indian national cricket team across all formats.

KL Rahul made his ODI debut against Zimbabwe on 11th June, 2016, where he scored a century by scoring the only six of the match. Rahul is also the fastest cricketer to score a century in all the three formats of the game. As of November 2024, he plays domestically for his state Karnataka and the Delhi Capitals in IPL 2025.

KL Rahul's salary 2024

KL Rahul's IPL salary

KL Rahul made his IPL debut with Royal Challengers Bangalore (now Royal Challengers Bengaluru) in 2013. KL Rahul signed an INR 1 crore contract with the Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2014. After playing with them for two seasons, he re-joined RCB in 2016. After a stellar 2016 season and missing out on the 2017 season due to a shoulder injury, Rahul was signed by the Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) for a whopping INR 11 crore, making him one of the most expensive bids in the 2018 IPL Auction. After being retained at the same price for two seasons, KL Rahul was named the captain of Kings XI Punjab ahead of 2020 and eventually received the Orange Cap for the season for being the highest run-scorer in that season. KL Rahul was sold to the Delhi Capitals at INR 14 crore in the Tata IPL Auction 2025.

After being retained for one more season, KL Rahul was signed and named captain by the newly-formed Lucknow Super Giants for INR 17 crore, making him the highest-paid cricketer in the league, alongside Virat Kohli. After being retained for the same price for two seasons, Rahul was released ahead of the 2025 IPL mini-auction.
