Mitchell Santner is an all-rounder who represents New Zealand across all formats. Born on February 5, 1992, he made his first-class debut for Northern District Cricket Team. Santner made his international debut in an ODI game against England in June 2015. In the same month, he made his T20I debut against the same opposition. He went on to make his Test debut against Australia in November 2015.
The left-handed bowling all-rounder was a part of the New Zealand squads that reached the 2019 ICC World Cup final and 2021 ICC T20 World Cup final. He became a permanent captain of his national team's ODI and T20I team in 2024. Santner led New Zealand to the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy final. He has also played in different leagues around the world like the Indian Premier League (IPL), Super Smash, Caribbean Premier League, Major League Cricket, and The Hundred.
