Team India's swashbuckling batter Suryakumar Yadav fulfilled a fan's request by posing for a picture during the ongoing T20 Mumbai League 2025. The Mumbai Indians (MI) star captained the Triumphs Knights MNE in the competition.

On Sunday, June 8, during the team's final league-stage fixture, a young fan expressed his wish to get a photograph with Suryakumar. The 34-year-old obliged for the same after the game.

Sharing the picture on his Instagram story, Suryakumar captioned the post:

"Lo ho gayi apni photo."

The Suryakumar Yadav-led Triumphs Knights MNE ended their T20 Mumbai League 2025 campaign with a 38-run defeat to North Mumbai Panthers. The side failed to qualify for the semifinals, finishing fifth in the standings with just one win from five fixtures.

After electing to bat first, North Mumbai Panthers registered 207/6 in 20 overs. Skipper Prithvi Shaw slammed a blistering half-century, contributing 75 runs off 35 balls. In response, the Triumphs Knights MNE were bundled out for 169.

Suryakumar scored 29 runs from 16 deliveries. Opener Siddhant Aadhhathrao did a commendable job in the run chase, finishing with 76 runs off 45 balls.

Suryakumar amassed 122 runs across four innings in the tournament. His runs came at a strike rate of 158.44 and he averaged 40.67 in the season.

Suryakumar Yadav was the top performer with the bat for MI in the recently concluded Indian Premier League (IPL 2025). He chalked up 717 runs in 16 innings at a strike rate of 167.91.

He became the first non-opener to have a 700-plus season in the league's history. It is worth mentioning that the dynamic batter scored at least 25 runs in each of his innings in the edition. The Team India T20I captain was awarded the Most Valuable Player award for his wonderful batting exploits.

However, his imperious run didn't have a fairytale ending as the Hardik Pandya-led MI failed to make it to the finals. They suffered a five-wicket defeat to eventual runners-up Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the Qualifier 2.
