SRH v CSK, Qualifier 1 Match Prediction: Who will win the match between Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad

It's the match of the table-reigners, the battle of the cream of the points tally - for Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Chennai Super Kings, it is an opportunity to directly place themselves in the finals, and promises to be a riveting clash that'll see two of the most consistent teams this year go head-to-head.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad have done most things right under Kane Williamson, and have the ability to up their performances when the chips are down. Their recent form, however, could be a cause of worry, as they have lost three games and lost out both their games against the Super Kings this season.

For the Chennai side, it seems to be a battle to find some consistency, after several ups and downs saw them have a fairly indifferent run this season. They would want at least two of their veteran performers to come good in the crucial clash.

If Sunrisers Hyderabad bat first

Kane Williamson has shown that technique has its place in T20 cricket, and even though the others in his team have blown hot and cold, the batting has done enough to ensure that the bowling, that has been their strength for several seasons, has been complemented well.

In Shikhar Dhawan, they have a big match player who could turn on the heat with his strokeplay in the initial overs, and the coming good of Shreevats Goswami is an added advantage.

They will have to be wary of Lungi Ngidi, who had quite an outing in the previous game, and has the support of others like Harbhajan Singh, Dwayne Bravo and Shane Watson, who have loads of experience on their aging shoulders.

If Chennai Super Kings win first

Predicted score: 175+

The best thing about the Super Kings has been the fact that they've managed to find a saviour in each game: Ambati Rayudu has been their most consistent performer, followed by Shane Watson and MS Dhoni, who have found their old touch.

They will have their task cut out against the Sunrisers bowling, who might have suffered a decline recently but has held its own throughout the tournament, proving more than a handful for the opposition on their day.

Match Prediction

Although Williamson's side has been struggling off late, they seem to be the team to bet on, given the way they have clicked as a unit for the most part of the tournament. Against an opponent like the Super Kings, who have blown hot and cold, Hyderabad could very well turn on the heat and expose the chinks in Dhoni's army before the finals.
