Born on July 23, 1999, Yuzvendra Chahal is a right-arm wrist-spinner from Jind, Haryana.

A former chess player, Chahal rose through the ranks, courtesy of consistent performances for Haryana in domestic white-ball tournaments. But it was his performances for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2015 and 2016, which earned him a maiden call-up to the Indian team.

Chahal made his ODI and T20I debut during the 2016 tour of Zimbabwe, and since then, he has gone on to represent the country in over 120 white-ball games with 200-plus wickets to his name.
