Arc System Works developed and published Guilty Gear Strive is a fighting genre video game. It is the 25th overall instalment in the Guilty Gear series. On June 11, 2021, the game was released worldwide.
The game is intended to completely change the narrative and style of the previous releases and launched as a soft reboot to the series. The game continues its story directly after the Guilty Gear Xrd's events. The game's base roster includes fifteen playable characters. Sol Badguy, Ky Kiske, May, Axl Low, Chipp Zanuff, Potemkin, Faust, Millia Rage, Zato-1, Ramlethal Valentine, Leo Whitefang, Anji Mito, and I-No return from previous instalments, while Nagoriyuki and Giovanna make their debut.
Goldlewis Dickinson was the first Season Pass 1 fighter to be released in 2021. Jack-O', who debuted in Xrd, was the second fighter to be released the next month. Happy Chaos was the third fighter to be released at the end of November. Baiken was the fourth fighter to be released and the first in 2022. Another fighter in the pass will be released later.
