Akshay Bhatia, an American pro golfer, was born on January 31, 2002. Between 2016 and 2019, he won 11 titles, including two Junior PGA Championships in 2017 and 2018. Further, he also won the Jones Cup Invitational in 2019 and the Rolex Tournament of Champions in 2018. He achieved a career-high world ranking of No. 21 in the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR). This came about as a result of his Players Championship 2025 third-place tie.

Bhatia turned professional in 2019 and has won six professional events, including two on the PGA Tour - the Barracuda Championship and the Valero Texas Open in 2023 and 2024, respectively. He won his first professional event at the 2020 ST 11 @ Old South Golf of the Swing Thought Tour. In 2022, he joined the Korn Ferry Tour and the following year joined the PGA Tour.

Akshay Bhatia’s Caddie

Akshay Bhatia’s caddie is John Limanti as of March 2025. His previous caddies include Ryan Jamison, Brian Dilley, and his fiancée, Presleigh Schultz.

Limanti grew up in Jacksonville, Florida. He began caddying in 2012 and has previously worked with Adam Scott, Aaron Baddeley, Chris Stroud, Brendon Todd, Chris Kirk, Aron Price, Kyle Stanley, and Cliff Kresge, as per the Caddie Network.

Limanti began working with Bhatia in mid-2024. Moving on, at the Travelers Championship, they wagered on which player would drink the most water while competing in the intense Connecticut heat. Bhatia told reporters in an interview that "it's a fun battle" and that he drank seven or eight bottles of water with electrolytes for hydration. He added (via Golf Monthly):

"It's good to keep us on our toes about that."

On being asked about his best caddie memory in an interview with Caddie Network in 2018, he answered:

"When Chris Stroud chipped in on the 72nd hole at the 2013 Travelers Championship to force a playoff with Ken Duke. It was the loudest roar that I had ever heard. It was electric!"

Limanti also believes that the best part about working as a caddie is wearing shorts.
