Aussie professional golfer and 2015 PGA Championship winner, Jason Day, was born on November 12, 1987. He is a former world number one in the OWGR, having attained that position in September 2015. Day initially entered the world's top ten in June 2011 and shot up to number nine with his U.S. Open runner-up position. His current OWGR ranking is world No. 19 as of March 2024.

Day won the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship in February 2014, and he would go on to win it again in 2016. He became the only other WGC Match Play champion with his victory in 2016—the other two being Tiger Woods and Geoff Ogilvy. At the 2015 PGA Championship, he went on to win his first major event, setting a record with a score of 20 strokes under par, and he shot up to number three in the global rankings.

His most recent win was at the 2023 AT&T Byron Nelson, defeating Austin Eckroat and Kim Si-woo by a margin of one stroke, with a total score of 261, under 23. The irony is that his first PGA Tour win was also at the Byron Nelson in 2010, which was then called the HP Byron Nelson Championship.
