Swedish golfer Ludvig Aberg was born on October 31, 1999. Aberg began playing golf at the age of eight, taught by his father; however, he was initially more interested in soccer, but that changed by the time he turned 13. Four years later, in 2016, he won the Annika Sorenstam Trophy at the age of 17. He had also been the No. 1 amateur for nearly 30 weeks and had won 13 amateur titles. In 2020, Aberg won two professional events on the Swedish Golf Tour as an amateur, both against Mikhael Lindberg.

Aberg turned professional three seasons later, in 2023, and joined the PGA Tour. He finally won his first PGA Tour win at the 2023 RSM Classic, his 13th PGA start. He also won the 2023 Omega European Masters, his first European Tour win. Aberg finished runner-up at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and the Masters Tournament in 2024. He also finished in eighth place at the Players Championship. His official World Golf Ranking is No. 5 as of April 2025.

Ludvig Aberg has won two PGA Tour wins, the 2023 RSM Classic and the 2025 Genesis Invitational, as of April 2025. At the former, he defeated Mackenzie Hughes for a score of 253, 29 under, by four strokes, and at the latter, he defeated Maverick McNealy for a score of 276, 12 under by a single stroke.
