2018 NFL draft is touted to be one of the deepest classes for the Quarterbacks. Five quarterbacks were taken in the first round, for the first time since 1999.

Cleveland Browns shocked the world by selecting the Heisman Trophy winner, former Oklahoma Sooners QB Baker Mayfield with the first overall pick. New York Jets, then, selected the USC QB Sam Darnold with third overall after trading up from No.6 to No.3 with Indianapolis Colts.

Buffalo Bills selected Josh Allen after trading up to No.7. Arizona Cardinals grabbed Josh Rosen at No. 10 after trading up with Oakland Raiders.

With the 32nd pick, Baltimore Ravens book-ended the first round of 2018 NFL draft with another former Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson after trading back to the first round with Philadelphia Eagles.

Let us look at how all the quarterbacks selected in the first round of the 2018 NFL draft stand among themselves based on the team selected and the pick they were selected.

#5 Josh Allen

Allen could be the biggest boom or bust pick of the 2018 NFL draft. After the Bills traded up to No.7 in the draft, they picked Josh Allen as their quarterback over Josh Rosen who was also available at the time.

This pick looks more like it was made purely based on physical traits over talent. Josh Rosen is more talented and the most pro ready QB in this year's draft but Allen is a project.

Allen's arm and size could be one of the reasons for the Bills to take him here. They need someone who can zip the ball in that Buffalo winter cold.

But can he be accurate? His lack of success in collegiate level with an FCS school is worrisome and makes him more of a project than a runaway starter.

Allen will start as a back up to AJ McCarron to start the season. If AJ struggles, Allen could become the starter sooner than later.

This could be a make or break pick for the new GM Brandon Beane and the head coach Sean McDermott.
