Although the first GTA 6 trailer gave the gaming community an insight into what Rockstar Games has been planning for the upcoming game, there is no doubt that it heavily focused on Lucia. However, the trailer and the September 2022 leaks showed another male character named Jason (yet to be officially confirmed), who is rumored to be Lucia’s partner in crime.
He was portrayed as a background character for the entire duration of the trailer, making it difficult to understand his story. This article discusses why Rockstar Games should officially introduce Jason in the GTA 6 trailer 2 and also officially announce a release date for the game.

Why Jason deserves to be featured in the GTA 6 trailer 2
After the first GTA 6 trailer release, the Grand Theft Auto community got to know some official details about Lucia, who will be one of the protagonists in the upcoming game. However, Jason is still in the shadows as there is no official information about him to date.
While the leaks hinted at many characteristics of the rumored male protagonist, they are not guaranteed to be included in the final version. As it stands, every bit of information we know about Jason so far is subject to change. Therefore, Rockstar Games should offer some clarity to fans and officially feature Jason and his backstory in the GTA 6 trailer 2.
From the first trailer, we get to know that Jason is involved in a romantic relationship with Lucia and accompanies her on missions. However, some questions, such as where Jason was when Lucia was in jail, and how he escaped while Lucia got caught, are still left unanswered.
Another thing worth noting is that while Lucia got a few lines of dialogue in the first GTA 6 trailer, the only word that came out of Jason’s mouth was “Trust”. To balance things out and give both characters an equal amount of attention, the Grand Theft Auto 6 second trailer should entirely focus on Jason’s perspective.
This is especially important because the character has the potential to become one of the most popular protagonists in the Grand Theft Auto series. Rockstar Games should not keep him in the shadows and must officially introduce him as soon as possible.
Why should Rockstar Games narrow down the GTA 6 release period?
The GTA 6 trailer 1 announced that the game would be released in 2025. However, Rockstar Games did not give any month or time frame, keeping the release window very open-ended. Technically speaking, the Grand Theft Auto 6 release date could fall on any date between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2025.
Since we are already approaching the middle of 2024, Rockstar Games should confirm the release time frame and also show the new and returning vehicles in Grand Theft Auto 6.
