Thomas Paul Aspinall is an English mixed martial artist competing in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Currently holding the interim crown among heavyweights in UFC, Aspinall began training martial arts at the early age of seven under his father's tutelage, initially studying wrestling and boxing before finding Brazilian jiu-jitsu as his passion.

He achieved victories at various belt classes at the British Open for Brazilian jiu-jitsu (except black belt level). At 16, he experienced an extraordinary growth spurt from 5 feet 8 inches (1.73 m) to an impressive 6 feet 5 inches (1.96m), which caused intense growing pains. Tom Aspinall's highly anticipated UFC debut happened on July 25, 2020, at UFC Fight Night: Whittaker vs. Till. He faced seasoned veteran Jake Collier. In less than a minute of the first round, Aspinall's devastating right hand knocked Collier out.

For his next fight, Tom Aspinall will compete against Sergei Pavlovich at UFC 295: Prochazka vs. Pereira at Madison Square Garden, New York City, on November 11, 2023. In comparison, Tom Aspinall stands at 13 victories to 3 defeats (13-3-0) and is the 4th-ranked heavyweight in the organization. They will both compete for the coveted UFC Interim Heavyweight Title in the co-main event of the evening.

The main event originally scheduled for the night was a UFC Heavyweight Championship fight featuring Jon ‘Bones’ Jones, the reigning champion and past two-time UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, against former champion Stipe Miocic. Unfortunately, the fight was called off on October 25, 2023, due to Jon Jones suffering a pectoral muscle tear that required surgical intervention. In response to this, Dana White announced a new co-main event for an interim championship for heavyweights. It will feature Sergei Pavlovich, who is ranked 2nd, squaring off against fourth-ranked Tom Aspinall.
