Dune Awakening just underwent a two-hour maintenance today (June 7) from 9:00 am to 10:30 am UTC, and a new hotfix has been deployed. With a ~1.3 GB patch file for advanced-access users, this is the first-ever hotfix for the game's live client ahead of the release on June 10.
As such, there are no actual balance changes implemented in this hotfix (1.1.0.5). As logged in SteamDB, the patch actually affects most of the game's asset files, so it will patch the whole game despite a 1.3 GB download size. This seems to be for "several fixes to improve server stability and resolve some in-game issues."
However, from what is documented in the patch notes, the only surface-level changes are geared towards more clarity. For example, we now have an expanded pop-up message related to Private Servers.
At any rate, the game should be a bit more stable now for those who have been experiencing a lot of server-end stuttering and disconnections. Documented below are the cumulative patches released under Dune Awakening build 1.1.0.5.
Dune Awakening patch notes for June 7 hotfix
General Changes
- Improved game client and server stability.
- The button in Server Browser to visit other sietches now reads Visit instead of Join. When you press it, you will be asked to confirm your choice. In addition, top-left corner of the in-game UI will now show the Sietch you’re visiting. Please note that this is currently also displayed in the Streamer Mode. This will be changed in a future patch.
- Improved localization in a few areas.
Bugixes
- Fixed an issue where the party could break after the players in the party returned from Deep Desert to Hagga Basin.
- Fixed some edge cases with possible rubberbanding in melee PvP combat.

General changes

- Fixed an issue where players could sometimes get a suggested server that was not the closest in the region.
- Fixed an issue causing players to be stuck in the Imperial Testing Station #002 boss room by removing the pentashield doors.
