The Stopwatch in ARK Survival Ascended is a newly added item in the Bob's Tall Tales DLC. While it's categorized as a weapon, it functions as a utility device, allowing you to teleport to a set waypoint within a large area. This makes it extremely useful for escaping dangerous situations in both PvP and PvE.

As mentioned, the Stopwatch in ARK Survival Ascended is part of the Bob's Tall Tales Steampunk Ascent update, which is a paid DLC and not included in the base game. This means you must purchase this expansion on your respective platform to access the Stopwatch.

Once you have access to the DLC, you can unlock the Stopwatch Engram in ARK Survival Ascended at Level 99 and craft it at a Fabricator.

The Stopwatch in ARK Survival Ascended allows you to set a waypoint at a chosen location, with a large dome surrounding it. As long as you remain within this dome, you can teleport back to the waypoint at any time by using the device again.

While the dome covers a significant area, it’s still limited compared to the overall size of the game’s maps. However, with strategic use, this limitation becomes manageable.

For example, the surface in the ARK Survival Ascended Aberration map is engulfed in flames during the day, restricting exploration to nighttime. You can use the Stopwatch to set a waypoint near the surface entrance. This allows you to gather Supply Crates and rare resources before quickly teleporting back to safety when the night ends or if you are being chased by a creature.
