Top 3 AFC teams battling for a wild-card playoff spot

Which AFC team has the best chance at a playoff spot?

#3 - Indianapolis Colts - (6-6)

The Indianapolis Colts have shocked the NFL world by completely turning their season around and becoming one of the strongest teams in the AFC. Carson Wentz has made his case for looking like a top quarterback once again, and Jonathan Taylor has been nothing short of spectacular.

The Colts' remaining opponents are the Texans, Patriots, Cardinals, Raiders, and Jaguars. It's not out of the realm of possibility that the Colts can take three of these wins.

The Texans and Jaguars' games may possibly be wins, but the Raiders might be a tough game to watch for. Should the Colts get to 10 wins, they may secure a wild-card playoff spot.

#2 - Cincinnati Bengals - (7-4)

Another team that has turned their season around is the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals came out hot at the start of the season but dropped two important games against the Browns and Jets.

They have rebounded nicely with back-to-back wins against the Raiders and Steelers, which greatly helps their playoff chances in the AFC.

The Bengals' remaining opponents are the Chargers, 49ers, Broncos, Ravens, Chiefs, and the Browns. This is another tough stretch of games to end the season with, but the Bengals have been playing some good football and could theoretically compete with all of these teams.

The Bengals will be in great shape if they can manage three out of six wins in their final stretch of games.

#1 - Buffalo Bills - (7-4)

It's kind of strange to have to put the Buffalo Bills on this list, as they were once the best team in the AFC. That was up until they were humbled by the Jaguars, Titans and Colts.

The AFC South has had their number this season. The Bills are still in great shape to return to playoff form and they might still be able to steal back the AFC East title.

The Bills' remaining opponents are the Patriots, Buccaneers, Panthers, Patriots, and Falcons. Although the Panthers and Falcons are winnable for this tough Bills team, they will have to face division rival New England Patriots two out of their next four games.

Those games will likely determine the winner of the AFC East, leaving the Bills to battle it out for a wild-card playoff spot.
