3 most watched games in NFL history ft. Super Bowl LVII

Super Bowl LVII - Kansas City Chiefs v Philadelphia Eagles
Kansas City Chiefs celebrate winning Super Bowl LVII

Super Bowl LVII was a spectacle for NFL fans across the globe. In an evenly contested game that went down to the wire, the Kansas City Chiefs got the better of the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35.

It was one of the best Super Bowl displays in recent years, with both offensive units putting on a show to remember. With pop star Rihanna performing at halftime, the event was a sure-shot success.

It clocked in more than 100 million viewers, but still didn't rank as the most-watched NFL game of all time.

Here, we take a look at the three highest crowd pullers over the years:

#3 Kansas City Chiefs vs Philadelphia Eagles (Super Bowl LVII)

With over 113 million people tuning in for the game, Super Bowl LVII ranks as the third most-viewed game in NFL history. The clash of the top seeds garnered a massive crowd and could end up being slightly higher as the final data provided by Nielsen will be available sometime this week.

Rihanna's Super Bowl halftime show also did record numbers by drawing in roughly 118 million viewers. This made it the second most viewed Super Bowl halftime show, only second to Katy Perry's performance back in 2015.

#2 Seattle Seahawks vs Denver Broncos (Super Bowl XLVIII)

Super Bowl XLVIII was played between the Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks back in 2014. And boy, was it a thrashing for the Broncos. The Seahawks' 43–8 win remains the third-largest point differential overall (35) in Super Bowl history alongside Super Bowl XXVII.

As per reports, 112,191,000 viewers tuned in live to watch the game and witness the brutal beatdown of Peyton Manning's Broncos.

#1 Seattle Seahawks vs New England Patriots (Super Bowl XLIX)

The Seahawks feature on this list yet again, thanks to head coach Pete Caroll's decision to pass the ball on the final play of Super Bowl XLIX with just a solitary yard to go for victory. It made for one of the greatest Super Bowl finishes of all time and, interestingly, was also played out at Glendale, Arizona, the venue for Super Bowl LVII.
