3 NFL stadiums that might as well be deemed year-round hazards ft. Washington’s FedEx Field

New York Giants v Washington Football Team
Is FedEx Field the worst stadium in the NFL?

NFL Stadiums come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and styles. There are domes and open-air stadiums and some can seat a lot more fans than others. Across the league, there are 32 distinct stadiums ranging from U.S. Bank Stadium to FedEx Field. The field and its dimensions are the same, but each stadium is its own.

That means there's going to be a disparity in quality. Some stadiums, like SoFi Stadium, are brand new and have very few issues. Others are old, like Soldier Field - which is getting replaced eventually.

Which NFL stadiums are the worst?

3) Levi's Stadium

Levi's Stadium has the unfortunate distinction of having replaced Candlestick Park, which was one of the most iconic NFL stadiums. It's got decent attributes, but it lacks personality. It's one of the blandest stadiums in the entire league.

What makes it a danger is the fact that it has an incredibly high concussion rate. It seems to be dangerous for players. Additionally, in Super Bowl 50, the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos had turf issues, which only reinforces the danger and the idea that Levi's is not a good stadium.

2) State Farm Stadium

State Farm Stadium, home to the Arizona Cardinals, is a fine stadium in most senses. There aren't a lot of glaring issues and Cardinals fans enjoy their time there. It's also a unique field in that it can be fully removed and used for other sports. It's a nice sports arena as a whole.

The reason it's on this list is that it completely failed on the biggest stage it will ever see. Cities are fortunate to host the Super Bowl and State Farm Stadium dropped the ball for Glendale.

The field was poor in the big game and many players suffered injuries or slipped when they could have made big plays. Both teams suffered from it, so it wasn't an equipment issue. Unfortunately, that's all anyone will think about regarding the stadium now.

The worst stadium in the entire NFL

Like most everything surrounding the Washington Commanders, their stadium is the worst in the NFL. There's nothing good about it and it has a lot of issues. There's extremely aged plumbing that has bothered fans before. It's inconvenient to get to for the majority of the fanbase. Railing has collapsed multiple times. It's an all-round poor place to play in the league.
