5 biggest snub from 2022 NFL Players’ All-Pro First Team ft. Tyreek Hill

Being selected as a first-team All-Pro is one of the highest individual honors in the NFL. One player from each starting position is voted on to represent the All-Pro team. This basically makes them the MVP for each position during each season. The vote is determined by a panel of 50 media members, the same group that votes on the yearly individual awards.

The full list of first-team All-Pros has officially been released for the 2022 NFL season now that Week 18 has concluded. While it's absolutely loaded with superstars, as it always is, certain players being left out should come as a bit of a shock. Here are five of the biggest snubs from the All-Pro team this year.

#1 - Micah Parsons, NFL

Micah Parsons spent most of the 2022 season as the heavy favorite to win the Defensive Player of the Year award. His production slowed down towards the end of the year due to injuries, but he is still one of the best defensive players in the league.

Parsons led all players in quarterback pressure, while ranking seventh in sacks. He also recorded 65 tackles, more than any of the six players that recorded more sacks than him. He also did this despite moving around the Dallas Cowboys defense often, instead of being a traditional edge rusher.

#2 - Quinnen Williams, NFL

Quinnen Williams is one of the reasons why the New York Jets have been one of the best defenses this year. His 12 sacks rank second among all defensive tackles, trailing only Chris Jones.

While Aaron Donald is one of the best defensive players of all time, he probably didn't deserve to be an All-Pro over Williams this year. Donald has recorded five sacks this season while dealing with injuries.

#3 - Tyreek Hill, NFL

Tyreek Hill is one of the main reasons why the Miami Dolphins made it to the playoffs this year. He was acquired via trade with the Kansas City Chiefs during the offseason and continues to be one of the most dominant wide receivers in the league.

Hill recorded a massive 119 receptions for 1,710 yards during the 2022 season. He ranks second in both categories, trailing only Justin Jefferson in each of them. Jefferson is a first-team All-Pro selection and Hill probably should have joined him, despite Davante Adams also having a great season with the Las Vegas Raiders.

#4 - Talanoa Hufanga, NFL

Talanoa Hufanga broke out in a big way during the 2022 season. He emerged as one of the best all-around safeties in the entire league. His contributions helped the San Francisco 49ers lead all teams in many defensive categories. His dynamic play makes him stout against both the run and pass. He ranked fourth among all defensive backs with 30 run stuffs, while also adding four interceptions.

#5 - Austin Ekeler, NFL

Austin Ekeler is one of the most dynamic offensive players in the entire NFL. In addition to posting 915 rushing and 13 rushing touchdowns, the second-most in 2022, he has also been one of the best receivers in the league. This includes all players, not just running backs.

Ekeler has recorded an impressive 107 receptions and 722 receiving yards this season, leading all running backs as a receiver. He is also ranked fifth among all players in receptions. His dual-threat output at such an elite level is worthy of a first-team All-Pro vote.
