As training camp starts this season, the Philadelphia Eagles will want to fix their awful ending to the 2023 season, with the loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers opening scarves all around the team.

There are still a few holes on the roster, although they're well-prepared for the upcoming season. The Eagles know how to get things done: they were in the Super Bowl two seasons ago. Philadelphia just needs to not allow their roster to stop playing well all of a sudden again.

Check out their weaknesses to address before training camp starts this week:

5 weaknesses for the Eagles to fix before training camp

#1 - Free safety

C.J. Gardner-Johnson returned to the team, but Reed Blankenship remains a work in progress: good enough to be a backup but not enough to be a full-time starter. For the Eagles, a team with Super Bowl aspirations who need to beat the Detroit Lions and the San Francisco 49ers, this is not good enough.

#2 - Linebacker #2

This has been a problem for a long time in this team, and it doesn't look like the Eagles have fixed for 2024. Devin White has more name than quality, and Zack Baun is also not the answer. Although there's hope in Nakobe Dean, the team has some weaknesses in their game.

#3 - Defensive tackle

With Fletcher Cox retiring from the league, Jalen Carter and Milton Williams are the two most prominent IDLs on the team, with Jordan Davis also needing to step up this year. But the running game still needs to be addressed, as Cox took over a lot of space defending the interior.

#4 - Wide receiver #3

Outside of Dallas Goedert (tight end), A. J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, there isn't another reliable receiver on Philadelphia's roster who provides depth. Even though Parris Campbell was signed, there's no way to trust anyone on the roster before they prove themselves

#5 - Guard

Since Isaac Seumalo departed, the team has used Cameron Jurgens and Landon Dickerson in the position. But Jurgens will move to center, and the pressure will be on Tyler Steen to take over as guard. The line has great players, but Steen will be the weak link until he proves that he can play.
