Finding valuable tight ends in fantasy football beyond the few elite options can often be challenging. Managers who miss out on the top-tier players in this position are tasked with finding sleepers. A failure to do so can result in this being a major weak spot on their fantasy rosters. Here are five candidates with sneaky upside that could pay off during the 2024 NFL season.

Sportskeeda's Who Should I Draft tool allows managers to compare fantasy projections and make better picks during their drafts. It was also used to help generate the following list of tight ends sleepers.
1[ Luke Musgrave
Despite completing just nine full games during his rookie season last year, Luke Musgrave still finished among the top 20 weekly tight ends in fantasy football seven times. He was a key piece in the Green Bay Packers' strong passing offense, as he was targeted 44 times in those nine games. If he can stay healthy this season, he is a breakout candidate.
2] Hunter Henry
Hunter Henry has finished among the top 20 overall fantasy football tight ends in each of his seven healthy NFL seasons so far. He did so again last year with the New England Patriots, despite missing three games with an injury. He could be a reliable target for rookie quarterback Drake Maye, especially considering their lack of veteran wide receivers.
3[ Pat Freiermuth
Pat Freiermuth regressed in fantasy football last season, finishing as the TE29. Some of that was due to missing five games with injuries, but his previous finishes at TE8 and TE13 demonstrate his upside. The Pittsburgh Steelers also improved their quarterback situation this year by adding Russell Wilson and Justin Fields, which improves Freiermuth's fantasy outlook.
4] Greg Dulcich
Greg Dulcich flashed his upside in his rookie season two years ago, finishing among the top 12 weekly tight ends seven times in just 10 games. Injuries derailed his second year as he appeared in just two games, but he is expected to serve as the starter for the Denver Broncos for the 2024 season. He is a solid late-round flier to target during fantasy drafts.
5] Mike Gesicki
The past two seasons have seen Mike Gesicki plummet in fantasy football. After three consecutive finishes among the top 12 tight ends, he has finished as the TE37 and TE23 in the past two years. Switching teams to the Cincinnati Bengals may help him get back on track. He will be playing with one of the best passers in the NFL and in one of the highest-scoring offenses.
