The New Orleans Saints gave Andy Dalton a chance to start after quarterback Jameis Winston was injured in Week 3 against the Carolina Panthers. Dalton has since then started the last four games for the Saints, but led them to victory only once. The Saints currently hold a record of 2-5 and are in danger of missing the playoffs.

The Saints suffered their fifth loss against the Arizona Cardinals (42-34) in their Week 7 matchup last Thursday. New Orleans head coach Dennis Allen announced they will once again start Dalton over Winston when they host the Las Vegas Raiders this Sunday.

With Andy Dalton set to start in Week 8, you should keep him on your team for now and re-evaluate his position at a later date.

Fantasy managers who have both Jameis Winston and Andy Dalton on their roster should start Dalton until there is a definitive changeover. Allen also stated that Dalton will remain the starting QB for the team as long as the offense continues to do its job.

Dalton has started in all four of the games he has played and has thrown for 946 yards with a pass completion percentage of 63.4. He has four interceptions and has scored seven touchdowns. He had played very well until last week when he had a difficult time against the Cardinals. Dalton covered 361 yards, scored four passing touchdowns and had three interceptions.

If he can revert to being careful with the ball, Dalton still has an important role to play in NFL fantasy.
