Are Sean Harlow and Jack Harlow related? Exploring connection between Dolphins OL and the artist

The Miami Dolphins announced the signing of offensive lineman Sean Harlow on Saturday. In a corresponding move, the Dolphins waived offensive lineman Ireland Brown.

After Harlow's move to Miami, fans are curious to learn whether the player is related to rapper Jack Harlow.

Is Sean Harlow related to Jack Harlow?

Newly-signed Dolphins offensive lineman Sean Harlow is not related to Louisville-born musician Jack Harlow. However, Sean does, interestingly, have a brother named Jack.

Sean was born on March 28, 1995, to parents Pat and Jennifer Harlow, in San Clemente, California. He has two brothers, Jack and Cole.

While growing up, Sean took a liking to football. He played as an offensive lineman and defensive lineman at San Clemente High School.

Notably, Sean's father Pat played college football at USC and was selected 11th overall by the New England Patriots in the 1991 NFL draft. Pat played five years at New England and then had a three-year sojourn with the then-Oakland Raiders.

Sean followed in his father's footsteps of pursuing a football career and played as a center for Oregon State after high school. The Atlanta Falcons selected him in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL draft.

Sean was waived by the Falcons after one season. Since then, he has been on offseason squads of the Indianapolis Colts, Arizona Cardinals, New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys, and is now with the Dolphins. The offensive lineman will hope to make it to Miami's final 53-man squad for the 2024-25 NFL season.

Meanwhile, Jack Harlow, the musician, was born on March 13, 1998, to parents Maggie and Brian Harlow, in Louisville, Kentucky. He has a younger brother named Clayborn. Jack has French and Irish heritage.

Jack attended Highland Middle School and began rapping at 12. He attended Atherton High School and played on the school's soccer team.

Jack pursued music as a career and became a global star in 2020 with his viral song "What's Poppin'." Since then, the artist has released some songs that have topped the charts in the US.

Jack made his action debut in the 2023 comedy film "White Men Can't Jump," a remake of the film first released in 1992.
