Calvin Ridley joined the Titans ahead of 2024 to create a fearsome duo in Tennessee. He signed a four-year $92 million contract to catch passes from Will Levis alongside perennial Pro Bowler DeAndre Hopkins.
However, Hopkins recently got traded to the Kansas City Chiefs as part of what looks to be a fire sale in Tennessee. So, Ridley is now the team's primary pass catcher.
Let's take a look at Ridley's injury update heading into Week 8 and whether Fantasy Football managers should be concerned about him.

Should fantasy managers be concerned about Calvin Ridley?
According to Underdog NFL on (X, formerly known as Twitter), Calvin Ridley will likely practice on Thursday. He's expected to play in Week 8 against the Detroit Lions. This is great news for Tennessee, as Ridley missed Wednesday's training session due to a foot injury.
Hence, Ridley's fantasy managers need not worry about his availability. He'll likely feature against the Lions, plus he should have significantly higher targets with Hopkins taking his talents to Kansas City.
How has Calvin Ridley performed this season?
Calvin Ridley has had an average start to the 2024 NFL season. The former Falcons and Jaguars standout led the team in receiving yards in the first two weeks of the season but has since trailed off.
Ridley has amassed a stat line of 12 receptions, 183 receiving yards, and one touchdown this season. He ranks outside the top 100 of qualified receivers in receptions and receiving yards, plus his one touchdown ranks him outside the top 60 in that category. His fantasy managers will hope that the departure of Hopkins will spur Ridley to new heights in a Titans team that direly needs him to perform at his best.
The Titans have one of the worst records in the NFL, amassing just one win all season. They've lost games to the Chicago Bears, New York Jets, Green Bay Packers, Indianapolis Colts, and, most recently, the Buffalo Bills. Their next game is against a rampant Detroit Lions (5-1) side, so they'll need to bring their A-game to the matchup to avoid suffering an embarrassing defeat.
